Part time Physical Therapist (PT)

Summary:
Fiziologix Physical Therapy, a private outpatient physical therapy clinic, is currently seeking an experienced and highly self motivated fitness-forward Physical Therapist to join our team. Fiziologix's offices are located inside a 4,000 sqft membership strength gym on Day Road.

This role is ideal for a driven, outgoing professional who thrives in an environment where autonomy and self-management are emphasized. Why autonomy and self-management? Because we don’t have a front desk, our online scheduling system is fully automated so you can focus on what you do best. We also offer flexible schedule, treat 14-25 clients per week part time or up to 35 patients per week full time!

The optimal candidate will have robust experience providing top-tier patient care in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting and be adept at independently managing their clinical and administrative responsibilities.

We work with awesome clients! Majority of our clients are referred to us through word-of-mouth or their physicians. They are young athletes and active adults who are motivated to get stronger, feel better and live injury free (or as close to it as they can be). Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

- Utilize an hourly 1-on-1 clinic schedule to deliver effective fitness and strength focused physical therapy interventions with an emphasis on achieving the patient’s own goals for the plan of care.
- Independently evaluate and diagnose patient conditions and develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that excite, our clients and elevate your skillset. Thinking outside the box is encouraged here.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care, tailoring treatment plans to the patient’s individualized rehab needs and fitness goals.
- Empower patients with education, self assessment and treatment strategies so in an ideal world they never have to come back to see us.
- Don’t hesitate to collaborate with your fellow PTs & PTAs.

Self-Management:
- Manage a full patient caseload with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Utilize templates to have your documentation and billing complete by the end of each patient visit.
- If necessary, independently handle administrative tasks including scheduling (patients largely self-schedule but sometimes we help organize strategic scheduling modifications on the fly).

Clinical Excellence:
- Utilize evidence-based practices and your own clinical know-how to guide clinical decision-making.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy and actively seek professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinic service delivery through clinic efficiency recommendations and an annual inservice.

Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare and fitness professionals in- and outside the clinic to provide holistic patient care.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, ensuring clear and empathetic interactions with patients, clients, Fiziologix team members and Elevate coaches and trainers.
- Engage in regular team meetings and contribute to the collaborative environment of the clinic.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current WA state licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or private clinic setting.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a full patient caseload.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized certifications or training relevant to outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, strength training, neurological rehabilitation, or an eclectic blend of all.
- Experience using electronic medical record systems such as Janeapp, WebPT, SimplePractice, Prompt or others...

Additional skills and Experience (optional):
- Experience offering in house self-help fitness courses to our roster of local clients.
- Developing and running online strength training courses with PT in mind.
- Designing self-help video content.
- Interest in pelvic floor therapy.
- Experience in clinic management. 
10% commission on additional non-covered services. 

Work Environment:
Fiziologix operates in a private clinic setting located inside of a thriving, private strength training gym. The clinic has 2 private treatment rooms with the ability to utilize over 4,000sqft of gym space for therapeutic exercise and activity. The dynamic nature of an active gym and its membership requires the ability to adapt to a busy gym setting, adjusting needs and schedules on the fly when necessary.

Physical Demands:
The position requires physical stamina and the ability to assist patients with mobility, including lifting and supporting, as well as extended periods of standing and walking.

Experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Summary:
Fiziologix Physical Therapy, a private physical therapy clinic, is looking for a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This position is ideal for a self-starter with at least 5 years of experience working in a busy clinical setting alongside multiple physical therapists. The successful candidate will be adept at managing a diverse caseload, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate a high level of initiative and independence in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
- Assist physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans for patients.
- Perform therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of treatment.
- Monitor and report on patient progress, providing feedback to the physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and home-based therapy routines.

Self-Management and Initiative:
- Independently manage day-to-day tasks and patient scheduling with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit a proactive approach in identifying and addressing clinic needs or patient care issues.
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory.

Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with multiple physical therapists, adapting to varying styles and treatment approaches.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the collaborative clinic environment.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members or students.

Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Accurately document patient care and progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (extroverted people person).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Additional certifications or specializations relevant to physical therapy.

Work Environment:
The job operates in a busy clinical setting. The environment requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to different therapists’ styles and patient needs.

Physical Demands:
The position requires physical activity including standing for extended periods, assisting with patient exercises, and occasionally lifting or moving patients or equipment.
